Anyone on here got any experience with Royal pythons not eating?
Otherwise seems healthy ...... but has taken to burrowing towards the heat mat... anyone?

One story I did hear was about a lady who slept with her snake. It didn't eat for a while, but every morning the snake was laid straight out to one side of her.
An expert told her to be careful, the snake was probably measuring itself to see if it was long enough to be able to eat her!

Pythons do not need to eat everyday, when they have had a good meal they can go for weeks without eating again. I don't know why it would try to bury towards the heatmat, unless there is something wrong with the tempreture, has the mat developed a fault ie not all of it heating up.
If they ate a human, I guess that would class as a darn good meal.
I know a bloke who had a Boa. That used to eat about once a week.

In all my years working for the RSPCA I have never cared for A snake of that size sorry! :/
I don't know much about snakes, but something tells me that it's too cold where its at, so its burrowing to the heating pad to warm up and yeah supposively they can go a week or so without Eatting. Sorry im not much help, but good luck on the guy
Sorry it was not my Python, it belonged to somebody I used to work with, and I asked on their behalf.
